During fall, the color of Ginkgo is such a bright yellow it catches your eye from a great distance. It can be seen for miles against a backdrop of pines. When in fall color, people stop and take pictures of their kids under the tree. The yellow leaves fall quickly and cleanly, making a carpet of gold that is a picture in itself. The bark is also a handsome feature.

The tale of strawberries

Australia - I went all the way to a farm to find the fun of strawberring picking but in vain ... so my journey continued...

Malaysia - Strawberries are planted using the hydro phonic system. This method uses the technique of mixing mineral nutrients and does not indirectly use soil. Enterpreneur Moon has been selling strawberry ice popsicles at the night market. The homemade strawberries blended ice popsicles have received good response from both locals and tourists. You must not miss it while you are in Cameron Highlands.

Thailand - apparently, the King funded the villages in the north of Thailand to grow strawberries in an effort to eradicated opium-producing poppy farming.

“虎头鞋”

周庄的布鞋就绝对是正宗的“土气”，千层底，针针线线手工完成。

肴肉

镇江的肴肉，又叫水晶肉蹄，皮白肉红，卤冻透明，一块块晶莹发亮，煞是可爱！它肥而不腻，香酥鲜嫩。如果再蘸点姜醋，就更别有风味。它能使品尝者产生好香、好嫩、好酥、好鲜之感。吃肴肉的确是一种特殊的享受。

镇江人吃肴肉有个习惯，清早上馆子，泡壶茶，放碟姜丝，将肴肉蘸着香醋姜丝吃。这就是“三怪谣”中的“菜肉不当菜”。

蟹黄灌汤包

这种汤包以蟹油、猪肉为主要原料，经过精心加工而成，具有个头小巧、皮薄、汤多、馅足、味鲜等特点，不过油似乎多了点，吃多了有点腻口。吃的时候拌点香醋与姜丝，不但口味更美，而且能解除油腻。

汤汁是灌汤包的精华，有四句话：轻轻提，慢慢移，先开窗，后喝汤。很形象的概括了怎么个吃法。

垂杨不断接残芜，雁齿红桥俨画图。也是销金一锅子，故应唤作瘦西湖。

扬州瘦西湖，原名保障湖。相传在清乾隆年间，扬州的盐业兴盛，瘦西湖由于年长日久，湖心淤塞，盐商便出资疏浚，并在东西岸兴建起许多亭台楼阁，这一来，湖上的风景便显得格外优美秀丽了。

瘦西湖的美主要在于蜿蜒曲折，湖面时宽时窄，两岸林木扶疏，园 林建筑古朴多姿。行船其间，景色不断变换，引人入胜。

逢“10”做寿

婴儿诞生一周岁之日，近亲送礼祝贺，俗称“送周”。中午，在筛中摆上文房四宝、算盘、刀剑等，抱婴儿坐于筛上，任其摸取筛上之物，俗称“抓周”，婴儿第一次摸取的物件，则预示其将来志向前程，如摸取书笔则预示好文，摸取算盘的预示好经商，以此挑逗婴儿，增添乐趣，抓周后，入席宴饮，尽欢而散。

逢“10”做寿，即10岁、20岁、30岁生日做寿称生日做寿称“做拾”，唯40岁因忌“4”与本 地方言“死”同意不做。

Eastern Venice - Zhou Zhuang

Zhou Zhuang is situated 38km southeast of Suzhou and makes a pleasant day trip from Shanghai. Zhou Zhuang is an ancient water town that thanks to the isolation of water channels, avoided destruction during the wars. There is something for everyone in Zhou Zhuang - whether it be quietly sitting in a traditional teahouse, endulging in the famous Zhu Ti Pang (braised pork shank), touring the canals with a singing rower, visiting the well-preserved places of interest, or shopping in the many small souvenir shops that line each canal.

风流少一点 实在多一点

平山堂颇多前人匾联，光绪年间两江总督刘坤一所题的“风流宛在”一匾，书法流畅，“流”字少了一点，而“在”字却多了一点，虽然都是异体字，用在这里却仿佛因风而流动所致，别寓情趣。
